Last Monday, in South Carolina heavy rain dispelled as a result of tropical depression Bonnie. As it was a holiday weekend due to Memorial Day, the entire weekend remained wet in that area. The depression was seen early in the daytime approximately forty-five miles in north of Charleston. It was reported by the National Hurricane Center.
The forecaster told that the storm was predictable to endure as an extent of low pressure spreading northeast till North Carolina. It resulted in heavy rain sporadically all over mostly during the daytime hours.
Most people were worried that they could not spend their holiday weekend in the outdoors because of heavy rainfall. They have been sitting and spending at home and in the indoors most of the times. The surf was stronger than the wind.
It was said that Bonnie resulted in rain of almost eight inches in the Southern South Carolina region on Sunday. It covered the entire Georgia state line for almost sixteen hours. It shut the southbound areas that are about twenty miles of Interstate 95 for sixteen hours. It was reported that the highway was opened on Monday at 1.00 AM. The troopers told that detour caused by the ten-mile backups was completely cleared.
Due to storm, a swimmer seems to be missing when he was swimming at the Carolina Beach south of Wilmington in North Carolina.
Rescuers have planned to go in search of James Cameron who is 21-years-old from Graham, North Carolina. His friends told that he disappeared while he was swimming Saturday evening. He was enjoying a rough surf and suddenly disappeared due to the storm. The authorities told that the two friends managed to get back to shore in safe way.
Lifeguards in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia were warning people not to enter the water due to dangerous rip currents. It has suddenly pulled swimmers who were in deep waters.
